Healthcare

Case Study

Background

Our client, one of the largest nonprofit healthcare plans in the United States, with over 12 million members, was looking to create greater efficiencies and add value within the health experience for both its clinicians and consumers. The Mugen Group Founder, Chandra Hunt, was tasked with supporting key executive stakeholders in developing and executing the vision.

Problem:   Departments and organizations within the healthcare's organization were siloed.  Operations, digital record keeping, clinician/patient communications, and customer service varied greatly across regions.  Our healthcare client wanted to optimize its health experience for both clinicians and the consumers they served – a key differentiator in long‑term value for the health industry.

Solution:  We conducted benchmark analysis to determine where our client measured against best in class services across priority business units.

Execution:  We developed eight business cases detailing how we would drive project development and design in alignment with the vision and strategy to create a higher standard of healthcare.

Results:  Seven of eight business cases were approved at the executive level with the potential of $100+ million dollars in cost reduction savings, greater effeciencies within the healthcare provided, and improved clinician/consumer communications.
